Our Story

Supporting emerging arts & greening the city

Our Story

Hard on the heels of our eye-catching vertical garden project which climbs up from the ground floor Loop Project Space & Bar to our rooftop three floors above- Loop Top is an extension to Loop Roof- making us a unique twin tiered rooftop hospitality garden space.

Be treated to dozens of horticultural gems at Loop Top- the mystical bottle tree, the regal multi-crowned tree aloe and the delightful array of prickly pear cacti paddles-are just three fabulous plant specimens to whet your botanical appetite.

Our rooftop garden spaces come with the requisite stunning panoramic open-to the-sky views and a superb chef’s kitchen menu, array of tap beers, punk craft cans, crack local wines and inventive cocktails.

When you are on the Meyers Place pavements and see our birdie flapping its neon wings high up on our vertical garden wall above, you’ll know you are nearly there…..

Level 3 provides protection from Melbourne’s seasonal weather conditions- with retractable awnings and heaters providing cosy relief from wind and rain, and misters cooling things off during the heat of the summer.

Loop Top

With the addition of Loop Top in 2019, we pride ourselves on the fact that we now offer a unique twin-tiered rooftop bar with special emphasis on our exotic gardens and horticultural treats including our vertical garden. Loop Top boasts several mighty 5 metre square yellow and pacific blue umbrellas that provide shelter from both excessive sun and rain.

Loop Vertical Garden & Greening

In 2017 Loop spearheaded the “Green Your Laneways Project” in Meyers Place with The City Of Melbourne. In 2018, we installed a majestic vertical garden on our building facade, and our Project Space was junglified with over one hundred hanging baskets and creepers entwining our timber bar trellises.

Loop Laneway Mural

Loop in conjunction with City Of Melbourne commissioned street artist Mike Makatron to create a massive mural in Meyers Place. This jungle-funk masterpiece- teeming with both tropical organic exotica and discarded tek paraphernalia- packs a vivid punch in its urban setting.
